My dog, lucky to stay when I was 4 He growled one time and my mother decided he needed to go. I barely remember him, but I loved him.

Baby bottle pops and cool video games

teardropmaker

Horseback riding lessons. Just about the time when I entered the "horse crazy" phase, a friend of my Dad's got kicked in the head by a horse and died. Essentially squashed any hope I ever had of learning to ride.

Playing Russian roulette with the bois

MinefieldinaTornado

My parents tried to warn my brother about the dangers of playing russian roulette, but it just went in one ear and out the other.

I used to cry every day about wanting a pet raccoon Anyway, now I’ve moved out and I’m planning on getting one next month (Yes, it’s legal, and yes it’s safe)

thewiseroseknows

Yay!! Congratulations!!

hpesoj_4109

Hooray! What’s his name?

Accomplished_Till727

Don't keep wild animals as pets. It's not ok.

Lagduf

Agreed. Get a domesticated animal as a pet.

[deleted]

There are several domesticated and bred raccoons that are more than safe to keep as pets. Please do research before making comments like that.

Lagduf

Great, make sure you get one of those!

Niarah

Legal doesn’t mean right. Raccoons are wild animals, it’s not okay to keep them as house pets.

Niarah

I have done the research on it. Most animal experts suggest not to own Racoons as they are primarily wild animals. They do not have the domesticated temper like many other pets we see do.

[deleted]

Again, several of them are bred and ARE domesticated. That’s like saying you can’t own a pet fox — there are certain breeds out there that make them more than suitable as pets, theyre just rarer, more expensive and typically louder (hence the lack of popularity, since a fox’s call sounds like Bloody Mary). And even then, that’s not really your call to criticize someone on something you don’t seem to know much about. There are raccoons that are more than suitable as pets, so I’m doubting some of the research you’ve done. Listen. I’m not the type to just buy a pet on a whim. You honestly think the person about to own the animal hasn’t done research when it’s a bloody raccoon?? Sure, the needs of a raccoon are different, but guess what? So is every other animal. Honestly, I’m assuring you it’s fine and that your take isnt something to worry about.

Jelly sandals "because they'll be uncomfortable to wear and you'll burn your feet outdoors because the plastic gets too hot."

yippeekayakotherbuck

If it helps, they were absolutely lethal if even a little bit of water touched them. Given the amount of times I practically slid out of them whilst still strapped into them, I’m amazed I still have functioning ankles.

El_MaloCantu

A St Bernard. And guess what type of pup I got when I finally had financial stability? That's right a Bethoveen for my family! Best dog in the fucking world.

poppypodlatex

Martial arts weapons like ninja stars, nunchuks and a sword. I had to resort to ordering them from the magazines and getting them sent to my mates house. I had stars, a set of bear claws, throwing darts with the little tassle on the end to help it fly straight, tonfas and a couple of different pairs of nunchuks. Never did get a sword, would never have been able to hide it like the rest of the stuff.

angel_and_devil_va

darkpixie1

A dog or a cat. Even a hamster would've been nice. Nope, no pets. No way, no how. Well guess what? As soon as I moved out, they got a dog. And a dishwasher (I was their dishwasher starting at the age of 8). Still pisses me off, and I'm 55 now.

Allmightypikachu

Mortal kombat, and a 4 wheeler

FanFav821

Fruit gushers and fruit roll ups. My mom did not subscribe to those as snacks because she felt like they were really just candy. She wasn't wrong, but since moving out I've definitely gone though many packs of fruit gushers and fruit roll ups because #adult.

TheMemeDude123

I honestly wanted a iPod when it was popular, but then again at the time I had huge anger problems and I often broke a lot of stuff I owned. For instance I used to break a total of 4 Gameboy Advance SP's in frustration over the games I played. So my mother obviously knew that if she had given me an iPod she knew I would of broken it in frustration. So did I feel left out? Yeah. But she did the right thing by doing that, because yeah I sure as hell would of broken it as a kid. Same with me when it came to the DSi when it was out. I wanted one so badly and I begged my mom to get me one, she thought about it but changed her mind when she realized I broke a total of 3 of my DS Lites. So no DSi for me, since I would sure as hell would've break it when I was younger. I never had a smartphone until I was a sophomore in high school, by that time I was pretty much able to control myself and not let my anger get to me.

run4cake

A gameboy. It wasn’t “ladylike” to play video games so my younger brother got one but I wasn’t even allowed to use his.
