This happened to me too except it was my whole left arm. I asked my surgical team about it the day after surgery and they said it's pretty normal. It has to do with the positioning of your limbs during surgery and it should come back within 1-5 days. Of course it's a good idea to ask your surgical team about it but I'd say try not to stress out about it too much while you wait to hear back from them.

Does your surgeon have some kind of after hours line? This sounds like something you should check in with someone about.

dustybou

i sent them an email at about 6pm, but after reading your comment i just gave them a call! they said someone will be calling me back soon to give me more info. so thanks!

Updates? You doing better now/got some peace of mind? I’ve had several other surgeries before (breast stuff but not TS yet) and I’ve had the numbness and it normally comes back the next day. 18 hours ish

dustybou

hey! i just woke up - still a little bit of numbness but it’s definitely improving

Just got DI on the 19th, the same thing happened to me it freaked me out! Took about 48 hours for the numbness/pins and needles to finally go away
