>Russia says Ukraine using long-range US artillery
**We wish.... even just 300 miles will obliterate what Ukraine needs to take back & defend all of its land....**
Russia/Muscovy: âno fair, we arenât readyâ
I was wondering if they had shot down a HiMARS GMLRS munition for the first time which might have suggested they had finally updated their air defence systems to recognise and target them.
Just the GLSDBs though. Whatever they use to shoot those down probably costs more than the bomb and kit, so good trading for the Ukrainians.
Is there footage of them shooting it down? They also claim to have blown up 10 Abrams and 50 Himars so I don't believe anything they claim to do successfully without some sort of evidence anymore.
I believe the claim was that they shot down a JDAM, which the ones we sent are I believe JDAM-ERs, which has the folding wings to make it a gliding bombs.
If Russia was unable to shoot those down then we would be seeing Ukraine performing a lot more air sorties because that would mean Russiaâs air defence system in Ukraine has completely collapsed.
Yeah, if it was overinflated claims of shooting down 10 or dozens or such Iâd scoff but Iâm inclined to believe a âclaimâ that they shot down a single bomb just for the fact it isnât much to brag about.
JDAMs are just gliding bombs. Not a fast moving GMLRS rocket. Plus they have a reasonable chance of seeing the Ukrainian aircraft on approach to drop them so not necessarily as surprising as a HiMARS stopping mid drive, setting up and launching in a few minutes then driving on a couple minutes after.
About the only thing JDAMs might thwart are heat guided AA but if itâs the JDAM-ER I think those have a small propulsion system that could likely give out enough heat to stand out in an empty, cold sky.
AFAIK, JDAM-ERs are not powered, itâs entire thing is that itâs cheap wings strapped onto a JDAM to increase itâs range by gliding.
Against older infrared systems (like, really old, 70s old) it might not be able to detect a JDAM but for anything even moderately new, it will be looking upwards into the sky, which will be effectively provide a blank canvas for the bomb to contrast against.
I think youâre correct. The Boeing work to add propulsion to them is noted against the JDAM-ERs but itâs either still under development or not likely something being provided to Ukraine.
Don't be so gullible. The Russians are lying. The Russians have nothing that can shoot down artillery or bombs. Their "technology" can barely shoot down aircraft unless it's full of women and children.
Only thing that could track and hit an artillery shell is a laser. You might be able to melt it fast enough to fuck itâs trajectory.
But as far as I know only a couple countries have even the most basic form of that kinda tech.
Technically they said new production would take 8 months. That is, all new rockets. All new bombs. All new adapters.
They also said that Saab's adapter was the bottleneck for retrofitting existing SDBs to M26 rockets.
What they didn't say was that they have hundreds of small diameter bombs in stock, thousands of M26 rockets without warheads, and making the adapters doesn't take 8 months.
It was noted that Ukraine was testing them only 2 weeks ago I think. But there have been instances of new long range strike drones theyâve developed simply being âtestedâ in the conflict by having them attack something in Kherson or Crimea.
I wouldnât put it past Ukraine to figure that if theyâre gonna fly up and launch a bomb they might as well target something along the Russian lines rather than a firing range.
In Star Trek Wrath of Khan (the original from the early 80s), Captain Kirk and Scottie used the same trick when discussing timeline for repairs to the Enterprise on an open channel. Weeks instead of months, hours instead of daysâŠ.
Exactly. The enemy assumes 8 months means 4 months and sets their response planning accordingly.
Ensures maximum chaos when the system shows up 2 weeks later.
I personally like when we don't hear a peep until units are trained and systems are active. I wish we'd done this with tanks, and I hope this is what's happening with jets.
In that scene they utterly telegraphed it. If Khan heard that and didn't understand he was very dumb.
If I'd written that scene, it would have gone,
Kirk: Scotty, how are the engines?
Scotty: Captain, it's like when we were on Blahdeblah 7. It'll take *nine days* to fix.
Kirk: Damn. I understand. Kirk out.
David: NINE DAYS?
Kirk: We were never on Blahdeblah 7, but we were on Blahdeblah 6, and days *there* are a bit over one hour long.
And? Those asses lob thermite rounds onto civilians and shamelessly destroy civilian infrastructure without a single care daily. I really wish the West would send hundreds of thousands of cluster rounds to show Putler just how bad it could really be.
Would make sense if they were beginning to strike their depots and stuff, they did do these long range strikes right before the Kherson and Kharkiv offences to soften them up. Something the clowns in the kremlin have no idea how to do themselves it seems.
I do not hear Russia complaining about the weapons that Russian troops have been abandoning for the Ukrainians. But oh right, Its the wrapons US supplied that is of issue ?
But here is a solution to stopping US arms getting to Ukraine, WITHDRAW AND GO HOME.
The article mentioned that some western tanks had arrived and I grimaced a bit. The media hypes up Western tanks as this super weapon and I donât think civilians are ready to see them blown up. No matter how good they are everything you put into a real war is disposable.
Good
Hope they return the favor of what you've been doing to them. Russia. Nothing but scumbags and the shortest president ever. Hes so short he makes hobbits look tall.
Can you imagine the generals etc-
âhereâs a budget to produce 7-8 times more ammunition at your factoryâ
Factory owner- âok so how much do you want and how much do I actually get to produce ammuntion supplies?â
Generals- âwell my living costs have gone up 6-7 times since the war so youâll get 1 x $$$ to produce 7-8 x more $$$ worth of ammoâ
More russian hypocrisy. What is the point here? russia using Iranian drones . . . And? Expression of russian outrage over Ukraine fighting back and rejecting russian hegemony
So what if Ukraine gets intercontinental missiles somehow Russia has no reason to complain they have them as well. Itâs all fun when the other side canât hurt you itâs less fun when they can

More like đ€Ą
Russia using long range cruise missiles since day 1. cry me a river.
On civilians
Children even
[Putin, its Prigozhin. I need 5 billion rocket to bomb Kyiv children.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UqTdxrRIa4)
Crimea river
See what you did there đ
[Crimea river](https://youtu.be/2Gn9A-kdsRo)
Accuracy: 1KM
When all you have is an anti-ship missile, everything's a ship.
Nevermind that, they've been using S300s in "vaguely that direction" mode since week three.
Some even misinterpreted that and returned to launch point.
Exactly. But theyâre just about out of them which is why they complain lol âNo fair we shot all our bullets and they still have some left!!1!1!â
Crimea river, although i think thay only have a canal :)
And?
I hope theyâre telling the truth this time lol
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
They were expected and told to be about 8 months from delivery and the jdams weren't even officially listed as being supplied.

> Is there footage of them shooting it down? They probably destroyed it by hitting it with a base or munition storage..
They threw a ruzzian smoking a cigarette at it
Any news Russia releases is âFake News â
Don't be so gullible. The Russians are lying. The Russians have nothing that can shoot down artillery or bombs. Their "technology" can barely shoot down aircraft unless it's full of women and children.

> Russia/Muscovy: âno fair, we arenât readyâ US: neither was ukraine
Reminds me of when the Germans complained about the Trench Gun
All that and more please.
Cry more, losers.
oh, cri-me-a river!
Boo hoo. đ€Ł
Lol. So?
Short sweet answer!đđ»
WellâŠ. Yeah. No fucking shit. It was literally announced to the entire world â everyone knows that already. Lol
When announced boeing and army said it would take 8 months tho
Technically they said new production would take 8 months. That is, all new rockets. All new bombs. All new adapters. They also said that Saab's adapter was the bottleneck for retrofitting existing SDBs to M26 rockets. What they didn't say was that they have hundreds of small diameter bombs in stock, thousands of M26 rockets without warheads, and making the adapters doesn't take 8 months.
But then they said psych!!
The first casualty of war is the truth. Assume Ivan knows anything you know. The public is not going to get accurate timetables on this stuff.
In Star Trek Wrath of Khan (the original from the early 80s), Captain Kirk and Scottie used the same trick when discussing timeline for repairs to the Enterprise on an open channel. Weeks instead of months, hours instead of daysâŠ.

Russia complains Ukranians are shooting back at them.
Good!
No no. Thatâs just the Good Looking Sandwich Delivery Boy (GLSDB)
Itâs a special military shelling situation
Special sandwich delivery operation.
Shit sandwiches, boys! Fire up the samivar!
Big Bob has entered the chat.
That system is going to give the Russians nightmares
Hey, here's a radical solution to stopping this use of artillery against your invading troops...hear me out....withdraw your invading troops, deal?
No fair!!
âAnd here we are using stupid north Korean and Chinese weapons! And Iranian dronesâ
"Come down here and fight on our level!"
I mean isnât that the whole point of artillery?
And? Those asses lob thermite rounds onto civilians and shamelessly destroy civilian infrastructure without a single care daily. I really wish the West would send hundreds of thousands of cluster rounds to show Putler just how bad it could really be.
Oh boo whoo
So - surprisedpikachulavrov.png ?
https://i.internethaber.com/storage/files/images/2021/03/02/lavrov-XD7c_cover.jpg
even better!!
Who gives a fuck what russia says?
Nobody, except our politicians and media giving them attention after like every statement/threat they make. Literally like north korea 2.0
Ok who told them........... or did they work it out themselves
Why are they complaining about this when they are using hypersonic missiles ??
astute observation
"Russia says" But fails to provide valid evidence.. Personally I hope it's true that Ukraine already is using GLSDBs.
Would make sense if they were beginning to strike their depots and stuff, they did do these long range strikes right before the Kherson and Kharkiv offences to soften them up. Something the clowns in the kremlin have no idea how to do themselves it seems.
It would make sense, but on the other hand: the muscovite regime lies about everything.
Cope harder.
AndâŠ.?
Whereâs the proof? Every time they actually destroy something of value they post pictures.
Good, cause we gave it to them. Donât want to see a gift go to waste
What? No way! I thought they will be throwing cakes.
I saw a HIMAR launcher on a flatbed on i84 today. thatâs probably another one headed to ukraineđ
Somebody fucked around and found out.
From deep⊠itâs good!
Yep. And itâs effective. Suck a dick Russia you are the laughing stock of third world countries now. Gotta sting!
CRIMEA A RIVER! RUSSIA!
I truly hope so
Good.
In the words of the late great Bill Hicks: Yeah And So What?
uWu pohaw wussha widdle babies get a widdle taste of 200mm+ munitions and wanna cwy to mawmy waaah
Seems like russians are just a bunch of whiny losers. There needs to be some type of Final Solution to the russian problem.
And?.....
Oh...oh, no. That's just....that's...just great. Fuck yourself putin!
Duh.... bright people those rooskies
Yes they are, if you leave Ukraine it won't be a problem
Yup, and Canadian, and French, and Polish, and so on.
Whine some more, Russia. It wouldn't be a problem if you didn't invade Ukraine.
I do not hear Russia complaining about the weapons that Russian troops have been abandoning for the Ukrainians. But oh right, Its the wrapons US supplied that is of issue ? But here is a solution to stopping US arms getting to Ukraine, WITHDRAW AND GO HOME.
Mr 60 minutes, tell us something we don't know.
...play stupid Russian games, win stupid Ukrainian prizes
Yup. Duh. 170k down and now you can say "this isn't fair". Go cross more lines, see what else you can't traverse.
Whatâs the problem. I thought Russia could just jam these weapons now? Or not maybe.
Get rect orkz
Oh did Russia just finally realise it?
So then, leave.
Orly??? Sorry about that
Good
Well... They are. And it's glorious!
Wait they are using weapons in a war that you have started? How dare they
Oh no seems they donât play by Putinâs rules to fight with their hands tied behind their backs, how is this even possible?!
The article mentioned that some western tanks had arrived and I grimaced a bit. The media hypes up Western tanks as this super weapon and I donât think civilians are ready to see them blown up. No matter how good they are everything you put into a real war is disposable.
Wait until they start seeing the M1' s and Leo 2's on the battlefield. Get the kleenex out!
Yes, and whatâs Russias point?
From America, with love
Yup...they're speaking truth for once about using...now about that downing :-)
Looking forward about their heroic stories of T55's stopping hordes of Leopard 2 tanks on the battlefield :-D
And SO WHAT? Go home if you donât like.
Good Hope they return the favor of what you've been doing to them. Russia. Nothing but scumbags and the shortest president ever. Hes so short he makes hobbits look tall.
Can you imagine the generals etc- âhereâs a budget to produce 7-8 times more ammunition at your factoryâ Factory owner- âok so how much do you want and how much do I actually get to produce ammuntion supplies?â Generals- âwell my living costs have gone up 6-7 times since the war so youâll get 1 x $$$ to produce 7-8 x more $$$ worth of ammoâ
the only issue i see is that there isnt more for them to whine about
Russia, you're using Iranian drones, so your point?
Yes, russki, Ukraine is using long-range US artillery. It's great. <3
More russian hypocrisy. What is the point here? russia using Iranian drones . . . And? Expression of russian outrage over Ukraine fighting back and rejecting russian hegemony
Good. I hope it reaches the kremlin in muskova.
Russia is just now figuring this out???
what did they use to shoot it down?? A Fuel Depot or an Ammo Dump??
Yay!
Yeah so what? Russia, go f*** yourself
Putin's still talking, so clearly not long enough range.
âŠ.ok? And theyâll soon be in Ivanâs ass when heâs sleeping
Oh no đ, maybe you should just leave and go back home Russia đ·đș scum bags .
Russia reports water is wet.
Good
No shit Russia!!!
So what if Ukraine gets intercontinental missiles somehow Russia has no reason to complain they have them as well. Itâs all fun when the other side canât hurt you itâs less fun when they can
What? Russia⊠You just noticed?
Yes, you are correct Russia. Catch
It's using it on their own grounds, so please shut up Russia
Oh no! AnywayâŠ
The West had been wary of supplying the weapons over concerns Kyiv could use them to target Russia. - LMFAO and the problem is ???
Good.
