unless you’re targeting something very specific, why don’t you just enjoy the bottle if it’s new to you.

Much more of a rye fan. If I could get a rye that isn’t necessarily easy to find I’d rather enjoy that. I seldom can afford or hunt down much so just was wondering.

i’m more of a rye fan as well but a few of the four roses recipes are some of my favorite bottles i have

Depends. If a rare recipe like OESO you could have some decent options

If you’re wanting to trade for a rye, you probably should have just bought the rye, you’re kinda in a limbo world here of people not trading too much in rye, especially in a “secondary” price range that your bottle may fall in. I’ve seen some around 125, some as high as 175, maybe higher is it’s a really special one. It feels a bit like all people want to do in DFW with trading is either going for Buffalo trace products. Frankly for what you could trade it for, if it’s your first I’d keep it

Especially because that’s the “trade” value, not an actual dollar value someone would give for it. For example, blantons get valued around 125, but most wouldn’t actually pay $125 for a bottle, or go buy a $125 bottle to trade for it. People just want to gain more/bundle for the most part, so likely you will end with either multiple bottles that won’t be as good, or maybe a rye around $100 retail
