Somehow, I don't believe this photo. Can't quite put my finger on it but it seems fake to me. Maybe because the squirrel is randomly reaching into water. I dunno, just something about it.
Anyone else get that feeling?
Edit: Upon examination, the reflection is not right. The perspective is not right.
That someone has a library full of similar pictures does not make any of them real or untampered. Many of those pictures appear to have the same problem as this one, the water over the reflected squirrel is not right.
The pictures of the squirrel are cute but there was most likely manipulation like reflected image into a Photoshop layer over the water to get all the images with the reflections.
The creator did it once and got likes for it so they just kept doing it to any image with water.
So you saying an award winning wildlife photographer Julian Rad is fake? You do know that most photos any professional photographer publish are "tampered" (I would use word enhanced) at least in some degree, also I don't see your claims of reflections to be wrong, these photos are real.
Look. That's me in there. The real me. There I am. But it's not really real, is it? Just made-up and pretend, like my family and my life and everything else!
That is an incredible, once in a generation photo.
EDIT: Or once in a weekend photoshop job. Strange how my inner cynic was silent. Might have to do with memories regarding taking photos of friendly squirrels 15 years ago.
Agreed. Very, very photoshop.
Plus the vertical blur on the branch reflection, the strong saturation on the reflection, how the reflection isn't broken up at. all. or even distorted by the water.
My thought process was similar.
As in, 'That photographer had and took a once in a lifetime opportunity, such an incredibly lucky break'. Looks up comments. 'Maybe it's a never in a lifetime opportunity, I should have known and reminded myself of the literal meaning of *incredible*.'
Reminds me of [this photo of a kingfisher diving into the water that took 700K+ attempts](https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/5v0fbt/kingfisher_diving_for_prey_after_4200_hours_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Forgive me for spewing my mental garbage here. Just had to get this out of my head.
One day, Fate decided to play a cruel trick to the twin siblings. They have decreed that the siblings are never to be together again, trapping each to their own dimensions. When the siblings found out where the gateway to each other's dimensions were, they were ecstatic to be together again.
What they didn't know was that Fate has also decreed that the twin's fate would also be twin fates. What one would do, the other would unknowingly mirror by themselves. Every action, every reaction, every thought of misdirection, every attempt at crossing over the gateway, perfectly countered by the other with every intention of being together with their twin. Thus doomed to repeat the cycle for as long as they live.

Yeah, you're right. It looks like a projection on the water. Bummer.
You're right. The reflection doesn't have the ripples.
It's real https://radwildlife.com/en/red-squirrel/

I'm not so sure it is. The reflection looks off, to me. As does the perspective. After another look, what do you reckon?
I recon photoshop. You can see waves in the water, but none in the reflection. I call this one a fake.

You know, I think you're right. Scratch my earlier comment if this is the case.
