I miss ticket stubs
Box full. Last one was a WS game I believe
Same. Took a familyember to their first game recently and no stub to hold on to.
I remember the “Friendly Fenway” era where they were trying to get people to not swear and high-fives in the 5th, etc. Definitely a case where if you build it, they won’t necessarily come. 🤣
I was at that game. Took a friend from South Africa. His 1st game and it’s a “No Hitta” as he said. Quite a day.
I was there too! Remember when he came out after the game with a microphone and kinda let the crowd have it for not having his back the season prior?
I don’t! As soon as the last pitch was thrown, we literally ran out of there to beat the traffic. It was my South African friend’s second day in the states. His head was spinning.
Nice that was my first ever game!
Gave em nothing
I have one from the Bucholtz no no. Was one of the coolest sports things I have seen live.
I was on a date with my future former wife... I was a little too into her and had no idea it was happening until late in the game when I overheard someone talking about it.
Saw the Bucholtz one on TV and made everyone in the family sit and watch to atone for my lack of appreciation of Lowe's.
Sorry about the divorce 😆
That makes one of us!
(Nah, it's cool... we're still friends. Appreciate the thought, though.)
Happy birthday to me. I was also there
$60 back then, jeez. $60 will get you dugout seats at some parks nowadays
“D-Lowe is a nickname for Derek Lowe.” - Tim McCarver
I have a stub from A Rods first major league hit. That moment has not aged well.
Thank goodness they dropped the "Devil" part
Why? Devil Rays is a badass name.
Was sarcasm, I think it's ridiculous they dropped it
Is this a joke?
I was at that game...first base line
Damn! Lucky. First no-hitter I ever saw, I was 12 and it was literally the greatest sports performance I'd ever seen to that point and just assumed Lowe would be a Hall of Famer from then on. Shit, love me some D-Lowe, feel like I haven't heard his name in forever.
I was at that one on a school trip in middle school good times.
They’ll always be the Devilrays to me.
My daughter was born a few hours after that game, so the annual joke is "Happy anniversary to Lowe's no hitter and, oh yeah, happy birthday"
We were up in Boston that weekend for my aunt's wedding and my dad and I got tickets to this game (the wedding was the following day), but we ended up not going because he decided were needed for the rehearsal dinner or something (I don't remember all the details, I was 5). I've never forgiven him.
