How has running impacted your willpower?

Makes me mentally stronger to smash a cherry ripe.
I believe running is as much a mental exercise as much as a physical one. Racing or completing a hard workout in particular is an exercise in willpower. Anything you exercise should over time develop and get stronger.
Running also provides long term fulfillment and could act as a cure for addiction to instant gratification. This mentality can help us break out of bad habits, eat better, make better choices, etc.
